Round 3 of the Countryside Productivity Small Grants has opened today and is available to all farm types including livestock, horticulture and arable.

The Scheme provides funding for projects in England that improve productivity, produce jobs and improve the rural economy around farming and forestry sectors.

Round 3 of the Scheme reopens from the 7 October until noon on the 4 November 2020. All applications can be made through the Rural Payments Agency’s online portal.

Farmers can apply for funding towards items of equipment listed at Annex 3 of the Countryside Productivity Small Grant scheme Round 3 handbook which is available online.

All the items will help to make improvements in either:

  • technical efficiency
  • animal health and welfare
  • resource efficiency, or
  • nutrient management

The grant is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and is administered by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA).
