Due to price increases in fertiliser, tractor diesel and electricity they are planning to make BPS 2022 payments in 2 instalments. Farmers with eligible applications will receive half of their payment from the end of July, and the rest from December.
DEFRA have said “Bringing forward half of this year’s BPS payment gives farm businesses an advance injection of cash. It won’t affect farm profitability, but we’re hoping it will help farmers to make business decisions with more confidence”.
This workshop provides farmers with the opportunity to revisit their approach to financial management and cash flow and have robust financial reporting systems in place to ensure cash flow is diligently managed.
The workshops will look closely at discussing:
- Reviewing and planning your DEFRA has recently announced a change in the payment process for BPS budgets
- Effective cost control
- Creating awareness around your business cashflow
