GSP Update March 2021

Please be aware that the Growth Support Programme will be ending on the 31 March 2021 and we will no longer be able to accept new enquires. All new applicants must apply by the 7 March to ensure they have time to complete before the programme finishes at the end of the month.

Businesses who have already registered will be given time to complete their courses.

How do I join the Growth Support Programme?

If you are a sole trader, micro business or limited company in Devon or Somerset, including Plymouth and Torbay, you can register your interest in receiving either 3 or 12 hours of business advice, support and training with the Growth Support Programme by completing the below form.

The Growth Support Programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and as such some eligibility criteria apply. You will need to be able to answer ‘Yes’ to the first three questions to register your interest with this programme. Please complete the below form and we will contact you within 5 working days.

The Growth Support Programme is managed by Devon County Council. Any data you enter into the form below will be shared with the Heart of the South West Growth Hub and Devon County Council and its delivery partners in order to deliver the programme.

    Businesses operating in the following sectors are NOT ELIGIBLE to receive support from the Growth Support Programme:

    • Fisheries & aquaculture
    • Primary production, processing and marketing of agricultural products
    • Coal, steel & Shipbuilding
    • Banking and Insurance
    • Synthetic fibres
    • School age education
    • Decommissioning or construction of nuclear power stations

    You must:

    • have an annual turnover of less than €50m (approx. £42m)
    • have a balance sheet value of less than €43m (approx. £36m)
    • employ fewer than 250 people
    • be less than 25% owned by another company or combination of companies

    Support from the Growth Support Programme will be provided under the De Minimis Regulation (1407/2013) which allows businesses to receive up to €200,000 of State Aid assistance over a 3-year period. The State Aid rules cover ANY public
    funding that you have received during the current and previous 2 financial years.

    We will require you to declare previous funding before receiving additional support to ensure that the value of the assistance you receive via the Growth Support Programme does not bring you over the €200,000 threshold.

    Data Protection: The Heart of the South West Growth Hub is delivered by Devon County Council (DCC) who will act as a “data controller” for any personal data that you provide to us.  As such, DCC will ensure that the data give them is processed in line with their organisation’s Data Protection Policies and in line with your rights under the Data Protection Act 2017 and the EU General Data Protection Regulations. In order to provide you with additional free support for ERDF eligible businesses we will need to share the data on this form with the Growth Support Programme (managed and run by Devon County Council) and its delivery partners, who also record and hold information on a database and handle and process all personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and take all reasonable measures to ensure that your data is held and processed fairly and securely.
