The Sustainability Hub Low Carbon Devon project is currently recruiting six positions to help drive low-carbon economic growth in the county.

The following positions are now open for application:

Knowledge Exchange Officer – this post will lead on the interaction between the University of Plymouth and local Devon-based enterprises and is responsible for organising and coordinating knowledge exchange events, low-carbon internships, and research collaborations across the whole low carbon sector.

Marketing and Events Officer – this role will develop and oversee the marketing and communications plan for all aspects of the Low Carbon Devon project, working closely with the project’s Knowledge Exchange Officer (KEO) and Industrial Research Fellows (IRFs) to plan and facilitate a comprehensive programme of Low Carbon events.

Industrial Research Fellow – Green Wall – this post will seek to optimise the growing and thermal performance, effectiveness and viability of green walls in sustainable building design and also bring together, share information and best practice across the sector, supporting Devon companies to develop, commercialise or design green wall technologies.

Industrial Research Fellow – Power Electronics – this post will support Devon companies looking to develop or commercialise new/innovative Photovoltaic, LED or other low carbon power electronic technologies.

Industrial Research Fellow – Energy Efficient Building – this post will investigate energy saving practices within non-domestic buildings across Devon, helping Devon based enterprises to better understand their energy use and support behaviour change of employees and visitors (building users) using information technologies.

Industrial Research Fellow – Creative Industries – this post will work to support and develop the Creative Industries sector in Devon, through mentoring and supporting Creative Industry organisations and communities to diversify into Art, Energy and Design with research into and engagement with the energy/low carbon sector.
