The Work Experience Action Group are delighted to present you with their new toolkit “Unleashing the Potential of Work Experience: A Guide for SMEs”.

This has been facilitated by the British Youth Council, a group that consists of 6 young people between the ages of 16-25 years old, with a range of work experience journeys who feel passionate about the way that work experience is delivered in the UK.

This toolkit is youth-led and hopes to guide Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) through offering high quality work experience placements to young people. The Work Experience Action Group believes that this piece of work is important as it offers clear insight, directly from young people, on what high quality work experience looks like, according to their needs. they hope that it can help by offering a plethora of different resources which should minimise the time and effort that goes into planning a successful experience. It also offers a checklist of questions that SMEs could ask themselves and practical solutions that can be used to ensure the best outcomes for the SME and the young person.
