Find out how your Devon food or drink business can cut costs and lower its carbon footprint by improving packaging and waste management
Join the Devon Food Partnership and Prosper Business Support for an informative morning at Hawke Barn, where we’ll be talking all things packaging and waste and how to do both more sustainably.
You’ll hear from local food and drink businesses who’ve made changes to their packaging and waste systems, and learn what’s worked for them. There’ll be plenty of practical ideas to take away, whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve what you already do.
We’ll also cover upcoming changes to waste disposal rules, so you can stay ahead of the curve and maybe even save some money in the process.
🎤 Speakers include:
▪ The SME sustainability playbook: your packaging, your food waste, your obligations. Everything you need to know about what happens to your waste, how you can reduce costs and be ready for legislation changes, Stephanie Sáenz, Industrial & Commercial Bid Manager, Devon Contract Waste
▪ What exactly is local and healthy? Food labelling legislation and terminology: know the law, Sherry Durrant, Deputy Lead Food Standards Officer, Heart of the Southwest Trading Standards
â–ª Food waste reduction and Simpler Recycling, Mid Devon Commercial Waste Team
▪ Charles Baughan, Westaways Sausages
▪ Barney Butterfield, Sandford Orchards
▪ Hannah Hill, Solidus
