The Heart of the South West Growth Hub complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect on 25 May 2018.

This page has been compiled so that you understand how the Growth Hub manages, processes and stores your information.

Why we collect your data, how we use it and who else has access:

Serco Limited, which delivers the Heart of the South West Growth Hub service, records and holds information in an electronic database. We handle and process all personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and take all reasonable measures to ensure that your data is held and processed securely.

Personal information will never be sold to third parties but may be shared with the service’s delivery partners for the sole purpose of ensuring your business support needs are met.

We will only use your data to contact you with information about funded and part-funded business support services and opportunities that are relevant to your business needs.

Your data will be stored for the duration of the Growth Hub service and a reasonable retention period thereafter for audit purposes. Your data will be securely destroyed on completion of this retention period. You have the right to access your data and to data erasure at any time.

We work with a professional and experienced range of service delivery partners to ensure your business support needs are fully met. You will be informed by a member of the Growth Hub team if we need to refer you on to a specific delivery partner in order to meet your support needs. A list of the business support programmes we may refer you onto can be found on our website, HERE. Under the Growth Hub’s Growth Support Service, you will be referred to a local, expert business adviser who has been procured through Serco’s procurement process, signed a Terms of Business, including a data sharing agreement. GROWTH SUPPORT PROGRAMME – REGISTERING YOUR INTEREST:

Data Protection: Devon County Council, which delivers the Heart of the South West Growth Hub service, records and holds information in a database. We will handle and process all personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and take all reasonable measures to ensure that your data is held and processed fairly and securely. In order to provide you with additional free support for ERDF eligible businesses we will need to share the data on this form with the Growth Support Programme (managed and run by Devon County Council) and its delivery partners, who also record and hold information on a database and handle and process all personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and take all reasonable measures to ensure that your data is held and processed fairly and securely. The Growth Support Programme will not share your data with third parties outside of its delivery partners or those of the Social Enterprise Support Programme.

The information you provide may also be used by Devon County Council for the purpose of administering any request for information under the Freedom of Information Act. This information may also be disclosed to other services of the council for the purposes of responding to your request. We intend to keep the information which you provide for 2 years. This information will be held securely and will not be disclosed to anyone other than those stated above, without your permission. The information which you provide will be destroyed in a secure manner when the retention period has expired.
