Public sector procurement webinar with Somerset Council

The public sector spends billions each year buying goods and services from the private sector. Winning a contract to provide products and services to public sector buyers is a great way to increase your revenues and enhance your reputation.

Join this online webinar with procurement leads at Somerset Council to find out more about changes to legislation, opportunities in Somerset and how to maximise your chances of making a successful tender bid.

In Somerset, millions are spent by public sector organisations, including Somerset Council and other organisations.

In February this year, the new Procurement Act 2023 came into force with the aim of driving greater efficiency, transparency and fairness in public sector procurement. Described as one of the greatest shake-ups in procurement legislation, the act also places a duty on the public sector to assess what barriers SMEs face in bidding for tenders and to find solutions to them.

There is no charge to attend the webinar and attendees will be guided through the new Procurement Act and given tips on how to engage, sector and best deliver public sector business contracts.
