Providers sought for UK Shared Prosperity people and skills open call

Plymouth City Council are seeking applications from organisations wishing to deliver activity as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) under the People and Skills Investment Priority.

Plymouth City Council’s People and Skills Open Call is an opportunity for organisations to apply for funding to deliver support for skills support, retraining, helping those furthest from the labour market and a focussing on increasing skills and awareness on green and net zero skills/education.

The following areas are of particular interest for this open call:

  • Supporting Green Skills
  • Pathways to Employment and Improving digital inclusion
  • Supporting Local Skills needs

A number of potential priority areas are identified that are of particular interest and we are looking for applications that cover at least one of these areas.  We welcome applications from projects that supports existing projects and for continuing projects that have been proven effective and impactful. We also welcome pilot that specifically look at and trial new, innovative approaches and ways of delivery. We will need justification from providers for both approaches; why an approach is a continuation, how you can demonstrate its success and why it should be continued to be funded. If it is a pilot, please demonstrate why it is innovative and how the approach will provide opportunities to learn from the delivery. Collaboration between partners is strongly encouraged; This may include linking diverse partners, new partnerships and new collaborations which improve the skills delivery eco system.

We are particularly interested in providers that can support those/individual furthest from the labour market and those that experience barriers to learning and skills training. Applications will need to target and deliver against the listed outputs and outcomes listed below.

This activity will be funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). All delivery activity must be delivered in the 2024/25 financial year (concluded by 31st March 2025).
